Energy on a Stick
Windustry is proud to once again host the Wind Energy Center at the 2008 Minnesota State Fair. Visitors will have the chance to learn about wind energy, talk to a wind expert, try one of our fun activities, and look at the 123' blade.

About the Eco Experience
The Eco Experience, located in the Progress Center, features a sustainable eco-house with a lush rain garden, a live stage, organic food, state-of-the-art vehicles, and cutting edge renewable energy technologies. A first-of-its-kind exhibit, The Eco Experience is a must see for any techie, gardener, do-it-yourselfer, nature-lover, and clean energy advocate.

At the Wind Energy Center
Just as in the past two years, Windustry will make wind energy the star of The Eco Experience with a 123 foot turbine blade in front of the building and a “Wind Energy Center” inside.

The Wind Energy Center features a large turbine tower section, as well as:

A large turbine tower section
Small home and farm scale wind turbines,
A computer model displaying wind patterns over the Midwest,
Myths and Facts game
Renewable Energy Activity Corral
Policy Puzzle, and
Much More!

New for 2008:

New activities in the Renewable Energy Activity Corral and more activity sessions each day.
Video tour of a wind turbine.
Work in Wind area with dress-up activity.

Over 350,000 visitors came through the EcoExperience in 2007. See pictures from the 2007 Wind Energy Center!

You can be part of the 2008 Wind Energy Center! To be a volunteer at this year's exhibit, email Dan Craigie at dan@windustry.org or call 612-870-3461. Volunteers will work a four hour shift, and receive a t-shirt, free fair entrance, and training on wind energy topics.
